Installation Procedure

  1. Install the folding top control module into the vehicle.

  3. Connect the electrical connectors to the control module.

  5. Push down firmly on the control module to seat the folding top control module clip into the body rear compartment.

  7. Install the body rear compartment lid.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  9. Install the body rear compartment lid fasteners.

    Tighten:  Tighten the body rear compartment lid fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  11. Latch the body rear compartment lid latches.
  12. Remove the protective coverings from the vehicle.
  13. Connect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
  14. IMPORTANT: The window cycle learn procedure must be performed or the folding top will not operate correctly.
  15. Perform the window cycle learn procedure. Refer to Reinitialization of the Power Window in Doors.
  16. Connect the Tech-2 and reset any diagnostic codes that may be present.
  17. Cycle the folding top under power through one complete cycle in both directions.
  18. Inspect the folding top for proper operation. Refer to Power Folding Top Description and Operation .
