Installation Procedure

  1. Install the radiator.
  2. Connect both transmission oil cooler lines to the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Line Quick Connect Fitting in Automatic Transmission - 4L60-E/4L65-E.
  3. Install the vent hose from the radiator.
  4. Use the J 38185  to install the lower radiator hose (2) from the radiator. See Special Tools .
  5. Use the J 38185  to install the upper radiator hose (1) from the radiator. See Special Tools .
  6. Install the condenser. Refer to Condenser Replacement in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  7. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
  8. Install the cooling fan assembly. Refer to Cooling Fan Replacement - Electric .
