Installation Procedure

  1. Remove any dirt, grease, or other impurities from the mounting surface.
  2. Connect the electrical connection to the front sensor.

  4. Connect the electrical connection position assurance (1).

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the two bolts (1) retaining the front sensor.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 8.0 N.m (71 lb in).

  7. Carefully remove the wedge that was holding the air conditioning condenser and the radiator.
  8. Install the radiator support and air cleaner assembly. Refer to Radiator Support Replacement and Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  9. Install the engine splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine .
  10. Close the hood.
  11. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 1 .
