Body Control Module Programming and Setup: Introduction

The procedures below are designed to set-up the body control module (BCM) correctly during BCM related service. Before you start, read these procedures carefully and completely.
IMPORTANT:
The following procedures must be followed:
Body Control Module (BCM) Replacement or Reprogramming
If the body control module (BCM) is replaced or reprogrammed, the following procedures must be performed in the following order:
- Programming the BCM.
- Programming Immobilizer System Components, if equipped with Passlock System.
Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) Replacement
If the sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) is replaced, the following procedures must be performed in the following order:
- Programming the BCM.
- Programming Immobilizer System Components, if equipped with Passlock System.
Passlock™ Sensor Replacement
If the Passlock™ Sensor is replaced perform the Learn Procedure. Refer to Programming Immobilizer System Components .
