Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Installing The Lower Air Cleaner Housing

Install the lower air cleaner housing by pushing the housing down into the 2 rubber grommets on the inner rail.
Install the TCM and the harness to the lower air cleaner housing.
Install the PCM and the harness to the lower air cleaner housing.

Install the air inlet duct to the air cleaner assembly.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Tighten the air inlet duct clamp at the air cleaner assembly.
Tighten: Tighten the clamp to 3 N.m (27 lb in).
Install the upper air cleaner housing to the lower housing. Engage the tabs on the upper housing to the slots on the lower housing.
Connect the MAF sensor electrical connector.

Connect the PCV tube to the air inlet duct. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .

Install the air inlet duct to the throttle body.
Tighten the air inlet duct clamp at the throttle body.
Tighten: Tighten the clamp to 3 N.m (27 lb in).
Install the left inner fender brace. Refer to Brace Replacement - Front Fender Upper Diagonal in Body Front End.
