Installation Procedure

Install the module wiring harness to the seat frame while guiding the wiring harness through the appropriate spots on the seat frame.
Install the wiring harness retaining clips to the seat frame.

Install the side impact module to the seat frame.

Install the side impact module retainer to the seat back cushion cover.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Install the retaining bolts to the side impact module.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
Install the seat back cover. Refer to Seat Back, Cover, Pad Replacement - Front Seat .
Install the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 and to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9 .
