Condition
Some vehicles were shipped with only one ignition key programmed. The second key was not programmed and will not start the vehicle.
Correction
Program the second key using the procedure listed below.
- Insert the key with the tag into the ignition switch, turn ON the ignition, and start the engine.
- Turn OFF the ignition and remove the key.
- Within 10 seconds, insert the 2nd key (the key without a tag). Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF. Wait 10 seconds and then verify that the engine starts. If the engine does not start, repeat the procedure.
