Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2006 GMC Savana Special, 2006 GMC Savana Camper Special, 2006 GMC Savana, 2006 Chevrolet RV Cutaway, and 2006 Chevrolet Cutaway. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

    IMPORTANT: Do not use RTV or any other type of sealant on the EBCM gasket or mating surfaces.
  1. Install the EBCM (2) on to the BPMV (1).
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the screws to the EBCM (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 5 N.m (44 lb in) in an X-pattern.

  5. Connect the electrical connectors to the EBCM.

  7. For cutaway vehicles, install the splash shield.

    Tighten:  Tighten the splash shield bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
  10. Revise the tire calibration using the Tire Size Calibration function.
  11. Verify correct system operation. Refer to Diagnostic Starting Point - Anti-Lock Brake System .
