Installation Procedure

To aid in installation, spray lubricant onto the hanger insulators.
With the aid of the assistant, position the exhaust muffler assembly.
With the assistant supporting the exhaust muffler assembly, install the exhaust hanger insulators to the underbody exhaust hangers.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the exhaust muffler nuts.
Tighten: Tighten the nuts to 46 N.m (34 lb ft).
Raise the rear axle assembly. Refer to Rear Axle Replacement for the appropriate steps.
