Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Pontiac Montana SV6, 2006 Chevrolet Uplander, and 2006 Buick Terraza. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Install the OnStar® Microphone into the OnStar® button assembly. Refer to OnStar Microphone Replacement .
  2. Position the OnStar® button assembly (4) to the overhead console.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the screws to secure the OnStar® button assembly to the overhead console.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Connect the electrical connectors.
  5. Align the overhead console within the vehicle.
  6. Press up on the overhead console engaging the fasteners in order to secure the console to the vehicle.
  7. Install the overhead console screw.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the courtesy lamp lens.
