Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Pontiac Montana SV6, 2006 Chevrolet Uplander, and 2006 Buick Terraza. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Install the radiator.
- Install the condenser tube clip screw.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).
- Install the bolt that secures the radiator to the condenser.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
- Remove the cap or tape from the evaporator inlet tube.
- Install a NEW sealing washer.
- Connect the evaporator inlet tube (3) to the condenser block.
- Install the evaporator inlet tube to condenser bolt (4).
Tighten: Tighten bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
- Remove the cap or tape off the A/C discharge hose.
- Install a NEW sealing washer.
- Connect the A/C discharge hose (2) to the condenser block.
- Install the A/C discharge hose to condenser block nut (1).
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
- Install the radiator outlet hose. Refer to Radiator Hose Replacement - Outlet .
- Install radiator inlet hose. Refer to Radiator Hose Replacement - Inlet .
- Install the cooling fans and shroud. Refer to Cooling Fan and Shroud Replacement .
- Connect the lower transmission oil cooler (TOC) line to the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Line Quick Connect Fitting in Automatic Transaxle - 4T65-E.
- Recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
- Leak test the fittings of A/C components using the J 39400-A . See Special Tools .
- Inspect the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Checking Procedure in Automatic Transaxle - 4T65-E.
