Sunroof Motor/Actuator Initialization/Teach Process: Notes

Perform the initialization/teach procedure any time:

A new sunroof motor/actuator has been installed.
The existing sunroof motor/actuator has been removed and reinstalled.
The battery voltage has been interrupted during sunroof operation.
Attempts to operate the sunroof switch with the ignition ON and the battery voltage supply open or fuse open to the sunroof motor/actuator.
The sunroof operates erratically.

By performing the initialization/teach procedure, the sunroof motor/actuator records the open vent soft stop position. The motor/actuator will then understand the other positions, closed and full open soft stop and allow express and obstacle detection functions.
