CAUTION: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Caution . NOTE: Always connect or disconnect the wiring harness connector from the EBCM/EBTCM with the ignition switch in the OFF position. Failure to observe this precaution could result in damage to the EBCM/EBTCM. Preliminary Procedures Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. If equipped with the 3.5L engine, remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement . If equipped with the 3.9L engine, remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement . If equipped with the 5.3L engine, remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement . Clean the electronic brake control module (EBCM) to brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) area and the brake pipe fitting areas of any accumulated dirt and foreign material.
1	EBCM Electrical Connector
2	Brake Pipe Fitting (Qty: 6) NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tip: Note the location and routing of the brake pipes as an aid to installation. Cap the brake pipe fittings and plug the brake pressure modulator inlet/outlet ports to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination. Tighten: 24 N.m (18 lb ft)
3	EBCM Mounting Bolt Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
4	Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) Tip: If necessary, remove the EBCM. Refer to Electronic Brake Control Module Replacement . Bleed the antilock brake system. Refer to Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed Procedure .
