Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Gasoline or gasoline vapors are highly flammable. A fire could occur if an ignition source is present. Never drain or store gasoline or diesel fuel in an open container, due to the possibility of fire or explosion. Have a dry chemical (Class B) fire extinguisher nearby.
    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution .
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the high pressure fuel pipes. Refer to Fuel Injector Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement .
  3. Remove the injector return hoses. Refer to Fuel Return Pipe Replacement .

  5. Disconnect the injector connector.
  6. Remove the injector bracket plug.

  8. Unscrew the injector bracket bolt.
  9. Pull the injector bracket out from the injector using by the bolt manually.
  10. Remove the injectors with the washer upward.

    IMPORTANT: Number the injectors using a pen. If mixed up, it could influence engine performance.
  12. If the injectors stick to the cylinder head, use EN-48357  . See Special Tools .
