Electronic Brake Control Module Scan Tool Information

Electronic Brake Control Module Scan Tool Data Parameters

Parameter Expected Value Definition
Operating Conditions:  Ignition ON
ABS Active No The scan tool displays Yes or No. The scan tool will display Yes when the ABS is active and No during normal vehicle operation.
ABS Failed No The scan tool displays Yes or No. The scan tool will display Yes when the ABS has failed and No during normal vehicle operation.
Brake Fluid Level Status OK The scan tool displays Low when the fluid is low amd OK when at correct level.
BPP Signal Varies The scan tool displays Applied or Released. This is the current state of the Brake Pedal Position Sensor.
Brake Pressure Sensor Input Varies This displays psi/kpa. This is the current brake applied pressure.
Delivered Torque Varies This displays %. This is the current percentage of torque being delivered
DRP Active No The scan tool displays Yes or No. The active status of the DRP. Indicates if DRP is currently active.
DRP Disabled No The scan tool displays Yes or No. The failed status of the DRP. Indicates if the EBCM disabled DRP due to a malfunction.
Ignition Voltage Varies This displays Volts. This is the current Ignition voltage signal.
Lateral Accelerometer Signal Varies The scan tool displays m/s 2 . This is the current rate of the vehicle acceleration or deceleration as reported by the lateral accelerometer sensor.
Longitudinal Accelerometer Signal Varies The scan tool displays m/s 2 . This is the current rate of the vehicle acceleration or deceleration as reported by the longitudinal accelerometer sensor.
LF Inlet Solenoid Command varies The scan tool displays On or Off. This is the current state of the driver front inlet solenoid.
LF Outlet Solenoid Command Off The scan tool displays On or Off. This is the current state of the driver front outlet solenoid.
LF Wheel Speed Sensor 0 km/h (0 mph) This displays km/h (mph). This is the current vehicle speed at the driver front wheel speed sensor.
LR Inlet Solenoid Command Off The scan tool displays On or Off. This is the current state of the driver rear inlet solenoid.
LR Outlet Solenoid Command Off The scan tool displays On or Off. This is the current state of the driver rear outlet solenoid.
LR Wheel Speed Sensor 0 km/h (0 mph) This displays km/h (mph). This is the current vehicle speed at the driver rear wheel speed sensor.
RF Inlet Solenoid Command Off The scan tool displays On or Off. This is the current state of the passenger front inlet solenoid.
RF Outlet Solenoid Command Off The scan tool displays On or Off. This is the current state of the passenger front outlet solenoid.
RF Wheel Speed Sensor 0 km/h (0 mph) This displays km/h (mph). This is the current vehicle speed at the passenger front wheel speed sensor.
RR Inlet Solenoid Command Off The scan tool displays On or Off. This is the current state of the passenger rear inlet solenoid.
RR Outlet Solenoid Command Off The scan tool displays On or Off. This is the current state of the passenger rear outlet solenoid.
RR Wheel Speed Sensor 0 km/h (0 mph) This displays km/h (mph). This is the current vehicle speed at the passenger rear wheel speed sensor.
Pump Motor Commanded Voltage Varies This displays Volts. This is the current pump motor feedback voltage.
Requested Torque Varies This displays %. This is the current percentage of torque being requested.
Steering Position Sensor Varies This displays °. This is the current angle of the steering position sensor.
Steering Sensor Is Centered Yes The scan tool displays Yes or No.
TCS Active No The scan tool displays Yes or No. This is the state of the traction control system.
TCS Failed No The scan tool displays Yes or No. The scan tool will display Yes when the TCS has failed and No during normal vehicle operation.
TCS Switch State Off The scan tool displays On or Off. This is the current state of the traction control switch.
VSES Active Varies The scan tool displays Yes or No. This is the state of the vehicle stability enhancement system.
VSES Failed No The scan tool displays Yes or No. The scan tool will display Yes when the VSES has failed and No during normal vehicle operation.
VSES On/Off Switch Inactive The scan tool displays Active or Inactive. The scan tool will display Active while the VSES switch is being pressed.
4WD Status Varies The scan tool displays Two Wheel Drive or Four Wheel Drive.
Yaw Rate Sensor varies This displays °/sec. The scan tool displays the signal received from the yaw rate sensor.
