Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .

Install the drain plug and the washer.
Tighten: Tighten the drain plug to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).
Fill the differential carrier assembly with lubricant. Use the proper fluid. Refer to Approximate Fluid Capacities and Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations .

Install the fill plug.
Tighten: Tighten the fill plug to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).
Install the engine protection shield. Refer to Engine Protection Shield Replacement .
Lower the vehicle.
