Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Saturn Outlook, 2010 GMC Acadia, 2010 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2010 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF. Disconnect the harness connectors at the steering wheel speed position sensor and yaw and lateral accelerometer sensor. It may take up to 2 min for all vehicle systems to power down.
- Test for less than 10 Ω between the low reference circuit terminal 6 and ground.
- If 10 Ω or greater , Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit between the X201 inline connector and the steering wheel speed position sensor.
- If less than 10 Ω , go to 3.
- Ignition ON.
- Verify a test lamp illuminates between the ignition circuit terminal 5 and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate , Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit between the X201 inline connector and the steering wheel speed position sensor.
- If the test lamp illuminates , go to 5.
- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF. It may take up to 2 min for all vehicle systems to power down.
- Test for less than 130 Ω between the serial data circuits terminal 2 and 3.
- If 130 Ω or greater , Repair the open/high resistance in the circuits between the X201 inline connector and the steering wheel speed position sensor.
- If less than 130 Ω , go to 7.
- Replace the steering wheel speed position sensor.
