Installation Procedure

  1. Install the EBCM (1) by carefully pressing straight onto the BPMV.

    Do not force the components together.

    2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the EBCM bolts (1) and tighten in a cross pattern to 3 N.m (27 lb in).
  3. Connect the EBCM electrical connector.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LS3) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LS7 or LS9) .
  5. If installing a new EBCM, program the EBCM. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) .
  6. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle .
