Electronic Power Steering Motor Control Module Replacement (SS)

Removal Procedure

1. Position the steering column in the most upwards position possible.
2. Disconnect the electronic power steering motor control module electrical connectors.




3. Remove the electronic power steering motor control module bracket bolts (1).
4. Remove the electronic power steering motor control module and bracket together from the vehicle.




5. Remove the electronic power steering motor control module bolts (1).
6. Separate the electronic power steering motor control module and bracket (2).

Installation Procedure




1. Position the electronic power steering motor control module and bracket (2) together.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the electronic power steering motor control module bolts (1) and tighten to 11.5 Nm (102 lb in).




3. Install the electronic power steering motor control module and bracket to the vehicle.
4. Install the electronic power steering motor control module bracket bolts (1) and tighten to 11.5 Nm (102 lb in).
5. Connect the electronic power steering motor control module electrical connectors.
