Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Saturn Outlook, 2009 GMC Acadia, 2009 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2009 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the yaw rate sensor.
  2. Ignition OFF, test for less than 5 ohms between the module low reference circuit terminal 1 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified value, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM.
  3. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the module voltage circuit terminal 9 and ground.
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM.
  4. If all circuits test normal, replace the yaw rate sensor.
