Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Saturn Outlook, 2009 GMC Acadia, 2009 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2009 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the memory seat switch.
- Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between a reference voltage circuit terminal 2 and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the reference voltage circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the DDM.
- Test for less than 1 volt between the signal circuit terminal 1 and ground.
- If greater than a specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the DDM.
- Ignition OFF, connect the harness connector at the memory seat switch.
- Ignition ON, verify the scan tool Driver Door Switch Memory Recall Switches parameter is approximately 2.75 volts while pressing the memory 1 switch.
- If not the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, test or replace the memory seat switch.
- Verify the scan tool Memory Recall Switches parameter is approximately 1.75 volts while pressing the memory 2 switch.
- If not the specified value, test or replace the memory seat switch.
- Verify the scan tool Memory Recall Switches parameter is approximately 1.0 volt while pressing the EXIT switch.
- If not the specified value, test or replace the memory seat switch.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the MSM.
