Immobilizer Relearn

This relearn procedure will relearn the required communication data between the body control module (BCM) and the engine control module (ECM).

NOTE: On some vehicles the security indicator may be illuminated for the duration of the relearn procedure.

Without RPO ATH- Passive Entry

  1. Connect the scan tool to the vehicle and access SPS. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) .
  2. Perform the SPS function Immobilizer Learn-Setup.
  3. Perform the appropriate SPS function from the menu and follow the on-screen instructions.

With RPO ATH- Passive Entry

  1. Connect the scan tool to the vehicle and access SPS. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) .
  2. Perform the SPS function Body Control Module-Setup in SPS.
  3. Select and perform the SPS function Brake Pedal Position Sensor Learn and follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Perform the SPS function Immobilizer Learn-Setup.
  5. Perform the appropriate SPS function from the menu and follow the on-screen instructions
