Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: EVAP Lines, Brake Lines And Brackets

  1. Install the fuel and EVAP lines to the vehicle.
  2. Install the fuel and EVAP lines (3) to the brackets (1) and close the brackets to lock the lines in place.
  3. Install the brake lines (2) to the fuel/EVAP/brake line brackets (1).

  4. Connect the fuel feed line (1) and EVAP line (2) quick connect fitting. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  5. Install the fuel/EVAP/brake line shield (1)
  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Remove the cap or plug from the EVAP line.

  8. Connect the EVAP line (1) to the purge solenoid (3). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  9. Remove the cap or plug from the fuel line and the engine fuel rail.
  10. Connect the fuel feed line (2) to the fuel rail. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  11. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  12. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  13. Inspect for fuel leaks using the following procedure:
    1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
    2. Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
    3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
    4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
