Installation Procedure

- Position the front lower control arm (1) in the frame.
- Install the NEW front lower control arm front mounting brackets (2) and NEW bolts (1) and tighten to:
- First Pass: 100 N.m (74 lb ft).
- Final Pass: plus 90 degrees.
- Install the front lower control arm rear bolts (2) and the front lower control arm rear nuts (1).
- Tighten the front lower control arm rear nuts (1) to 80 N.m (59 lb ft).
- Install the front lower control arm ball stud nut (2) to the ball joint and tighten to:
- First Pass: 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
- Final Pass: plus 120 degrees.
- Reconnect the electric front suspension accelerometer link to the lower control arm, if equipped.
- Remove the support from the steering knuckle.
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
CAUTION:
Failure to replace the front lower control brackets will cause premature wear and damage to the front lower control arm bushings.
