Service Information Text Strings

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 GMC Acadia, 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2016 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Text strings have been introduced in the Service Information procedures in an effort to increase consistent and common global phrases. Text strings are common, predefined, fixed phrases used in service information.

Text Strings - Sentence Format

Text string sentences are used when frequently used procedure steps require additional explanation. They are complete sentences that contain the necessary elements to describe an action or a fact.

Text Strings - Chain Format

Text string chains contain a component name and an action verb. Text string chains are used when little explanation is required to complete a procedure step.
