Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Cadillac SRX. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    NOTE: The HVAC module must be removed to accurately set the cam gear timing. Failure to do so may result in poor HVAC performance and/or damage to the HVAC module.
  1. Remove the HVAC module from the vehicle.

  3. Remove the mode cam gear cover screw (1) and cover (2).

  5. Remove the mode cam gear actuator screws (1) and separate the actuator (2) from the HVAC module.
  6. Disconnect the mode cam gear actuator electrical connector.

  8. Remove the mode cam gear (1) from the HVAC module.
  9. For alignment purposes, remove both cam gear levers (2).
  10. If the valve gears (3) are damaged, remove them from the HVAC module and discard.
