Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Wheel Speed Sensor & Bolt

  1. Install the wheel speed sensor assembly to the steering knuckle.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the wheel speed sensor bolt (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  3. Secure the wheel speed sensor wire harness retainer (1) to the outer wheel house panel.
  4. Secure the wheel speed sensor wire harness to the front suspension strut (2).
  5. Feed the wheel speed sensor electrical connector and harness through the wheel house panel closeout.
  6. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (w RT2) , Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (w/o RT2) .
  7. Lower the vehicle.

  8. From inside the engine compartment, connect the front wheel sensor electrical connector (1).
  9. Secure the wheel speed sensor electrical connector retainer to the inner wheel house panel.
