Installation Procedure

- Install the SDM (4) horizontally to the transmission tunnel, making sure the arrow on the SDM toward the front of the vehicle.
- Connect the SDM earth strap bolt (3).
- Install the SDM to transmission tunnel retaining nuts (5) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Connect the SDM electrical connectors (1) and (2) from the SDM (4).
- Install the centre console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
- Return the driver and the passenger seats to the original position.
- Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
- Refer to Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module Programming and Setup .
