Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Generator & Mounting Fasteners

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  1. Install the generator (2) with the mounting fasteners (1) and tighten to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).
    2. Fig 2: Engine Harness Connector, Positive Battery Cable & Generator Fastener

  2. Install the battery positive cable (3) and the engine harness connector (1) to the back of the generator. Tighten fastener (2) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  3. Install the drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement .
  4. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
