Removal Procedure

Block the rear wheels.
Disable the parking brake cable adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Disabling .
Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

Disconnect the electronic parking brake control module electrical connector.
Disconnect the parking brake intermediate cable nut (1) from the electronic parking brake control module spindle by rotating the nut counterclockwise.
Disconnect the parking brake intermediate cable and position the cable aside.

Remove the electronic parking brake control module bolts (1).
Remove the electronic parking brake control module assembly.

If removing the electronic parking brake control module bracket, remove the electronic parking bake control module bracket bolts (1).
