Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 GMC Acadia, 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2016 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    CAUTION:

    Check alignment of the wiper cover sprocket and breather. A misaligned wiper cover sprocket may result in component damage.

  1. Turn the sprocket (1) counterclockwise to align the sprocket (1) with the breather (2) on the NEW windshield wiper motor cover.

    NOTE:
    • Ensure that the terminals and pins are properly aligned before completely installing the cover to the motor.
    • The park pin should align to one of the holes between the fingers in the cover.
  3. Carefully install the windshield wiper motor cover on the windshield wiper motor, aligning the terminals (1), pin A (2) and the Park Pin (3).

  5. Push down carefully on the windshield wiper cover to align pin B (1).

  7. Verify the windshield wiper motor cover (1) lays flush on the windshield wiper motor.

    NOTE:

    Install and tighten the (Qty: 4) fasteners in a "X" pattern.

  9. Install Windshield Wiper Motor Cover Fastener (1) and tighten 3.5 N.m (31 lb in)
  10. Verify the windshield wiper motor cover fasteners (1) lay flush on the windshield wiper motor cover.
  11. Connect the electrical connector.
  12. Verify proper windshield wiper motor operation.

  14. Install Air Inlet Grille Panel (2). Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement 
  15. Verify proper windshield wiper motor operation.
