Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON.
  2. Verify that DTC B356A is not set.
    • If the DTC is not set 
  3. Verify the driver information center displays and adjusts the forward collision alert setting while pressing and releasing the forward collision alert switch.
    • If the forward collision alert setting does not change 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing  - Forward Collision Alert Switch Malfunction.

    • If the forward collision alert setting changes 
  4. Verify the green vehicle ahead alert indicator and the red collision alert indicator illuminate on the P43 Collision Alert Indicators when commanding the Instrument Cluster All Indicators On and Off with a scan tool.
    • If either indicator does not illuminate 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing  - Forward Collision Alert Indicator Malfunction

    • If both indicators illuminate 
  5. All OK.
