Assembly Procedure

- Install the strut to the vise.
- Install the strut bumper (3) to the strut.
- Install the coil spring (2) to the strut.
- Install the CH-46558 front spring compressor to the coil spring.
- Compress the coil spring using the CH-46558 front spring compressor.
- Install the cartridge upper cover (1) to the strut.
- Install the upper strut mount (2) to the strut.
- Install the strut nut (1) to the strut and tighten to 65 N.m (48 lb ft).
- Remove the CH-46558 front spring compressor (1) from the coil spring.
- Remove the strut assembly from the vise.
- Install the strut assembly to the vehicle. Refer to Strut Assembly Removal and Installation .
