Front Side Door Lock Replacement

Preliminary Procedures Remove the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Replacement Remove the front side door lock cover. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Cover Replacement .
1	Front Side Door Lock Screws (Qty: 3) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedures Unbolt and reposition the front side door rear run channel to access lock. Unbolt and reposition the rear regulator rail to remove the lock. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement . Remove the water deflector. Release the front inside door handle cable retainers from the door panel. Tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)
2	Front Side Door Lock Procedures Disconnect electrical connector. Transfer the front side door lock rods. Inspect the door locking system for proper operation before installing the trim panel.

Remove the front side door lock cover. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Cover Replacement .

Front Side Door Lock Screws (Qty: 3)

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedures

Unbolt and reposition the front side door rear run channel to access lock.
Unbolt and reposition the rear regulator rail to remove the lock. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
Remove the water deflector.
Release the front inside door handle cable retainers from the door panel.

Tighten
10 N.m (89 lb in)

Front Side Door Lock

Procedures

Disconnect electrical connector.
Transfer the front side door lock rods.
Inspect the door locking system for proper operation before installing the trim panel.
