Circuit/System Verification

NOTE:

Refer to Diagnostic Aids before performing Circuit/System Verification.

  1. Ignition ON.
  2. Verify the scan tool Forward Collision Alert Function Status parameter is Off, Disabled, Not Ready To Assist or Ready To Assist.
    • If the parameter is Malfunction 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Frontview Camera Module Malfunction

    • If the parameter is not Malfunction 
  3. Verify the driver information center displays and adjusts forward collision alert setting while repeatedly pressing and releasing the forward collision switch. The setting should cycle between far, medium, near, and off.
    • If the display does not change 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Forward Collision Alert Switch Malfunction.

    • If the display changes 
  4. Verify the K109 Frontview Camera Module has good visibility to the road ahead.
    • If visibility is poor 

      Clean windshield.

    • If visibility is good 
  5. All OK.
