Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe And Upper Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe Gasket

  1. Install a NEW lower exhaust gas recirculation pipe gasket (5).
  2. Install a NEW upper exhaust gas recirculation pipe gasket (1).
  3. Install the exhaust gas recirculation pipe (3).
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the 2 exhaust gas recirculation pipe bolts (2) and tighten to 8 (71 lb in).
  5. Install the 2 exhaust gas recirculation pipe bolts (4) and tighten to 9 (80 lb in).
  6. Install the EGR valve temperature sensor position 2. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Temperature Sensor Replacement - Position 2 .
  7. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
