Removal Procedure
- Be very thorough in terms of cleanliness when working in the fuel system. Prevent dirt from entering the fuel system by cleaning the hoses and plugging the pipes and lines upon removal. Store the components so that contaminants cannot enter.
- In order to reuse the injectors, mark the injectors so that they can be installed to the same cylinder
- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
- Disconnect the fuel injection fuel return hoses from the fuel injectors and reposition the hoses. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Return Hose Replacement .
- Remove the 4 fuel injection fuel feed pipes. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement - Right Side .
- Remove the 2 engine sight shield holding studs (1).
- Disconnect the 4 electrical connections (2) and hang the wiring harness aside.
- Remove the 4 Injector bracket bolts (2) along with the 4 washers (2).
- Install the EN-51256 remover (2) to the injector (1) along with the GE-02619 remover (3) in order to remove the fuel injector.
- Remove the 4 injectors (3) along with the fuel injector bracket (2).
- Separate the 4 fuel injector brackets from the fuel injectors.
- Remove and DISCARD the 4 fuel injector seal rings (1).
- Clean the injector sealing surfaces in the cylinder head using the EN-47632
cleaning tool (1) in following procedure:
- Use the brush side to loosen the dirt.
- Use the sponge side to remove the dirt.

NOTE:
WARNING:
High voltages may occur in Piezo Fuel Injector and control units, Fuel Injectors are usually charged up to 160V and control unit internal voltage is usually 240V, To prevent personal injury and/or component damage disconnect the battery cable.
NOTE:
Wait 60 sec. after engine shutdown before opening the high pressure fuel system.
