Preliminary Procedures Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement . Disconnect the electrical connector at each of the glow plugs. Clean around each of the glow plugs.
1	Glow Plug (Qty: 4) CAUTION: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution . CAUTION: Use care when disconnecting the glow plug electrical connector. Use of excessive force may damage the electrical connector. Procedure Be sure not to interchange the electrical connectors. Assemble the electrical connectors in the same order. Use EN-47633 remover/installer for glow plugs without pressure sensor. Use EN-6104 remover/installer for glow plugs with pressure sensor. Tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in) for 9 mm glow plugs without pressure sensor 11 N.m (97 lb in) for 12 mm glow plugs with pressure sensor Special Tools EN-47633 Remover/Installer Glow Plugs 9 mm EN-6104 Remover/Installer Glow Plugs 12 mm For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools (Removal and Installation) , Special Tools (Diagnostic Tools) .
