Installation Procedure
- Coat the exhaust manifold thread (2) with assembly paste. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants and Sealers .
- Ensure that the sensor threads are coated with anti seize compound prior to installation. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants and Sealers .
- Install the nitrogen oxide sensor (1) and tighten to 50 (37 lb ft), use a suitable tool, e.g. a crow foot.
- Install the nitrogen oxide sensor module (2) to the air cleaner lower housing (3).
- Install the 2 nitrogen oxide sensor module bolts (1) and tighten to 7 (62 lb ft).
- Connect the nitrogen oxide sensor module wiring harness plug (4) to the nitrogen oxide sensor module (2).
