Installation Procedure

  1. Install a NEW throttle body gasket (1).
  2. Preinstall the throttle body bolts (4) and the engine sight shield bracket (3) to the throttle body (2).
  3. Install the throttle body (2) along with the throttle body bolts (4).
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Tighten the 4 throttle body bolts (4) to 10 (89 lb in).
  5. Connect the throttle body wiring harness plug.
  6. Install the charge air cooler outlet air hose to the throttle body assembly. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose Replacement .
  7. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
  8. After the replacement of throttle body use a scan tool to perform the appropriate reset function. Refer to K20 Engine Control Module: Programming and Setup (LUZ) .
