Setup for Component Replacement

The replacement of some components will require a setup procedure for complete repair.

If any of the following components are replaced, a CKP Variation Learn Procedure must be performed. Refer to Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn , for V8 engines or Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn for V6.

• Engine replacement
• Any engine repair that disturbs the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor or its relationship with the crankshaft reluctor wheel
• CKP sensor

• If the throttle body is replaced or a throttle body cleaning procedure is completed, the Throttle/Idle Learn procedure must be performed. Refer to Q38 Throttle Body: Throttle/Idle Learn , for V8 or Q38 Throttle Body: Throttle/Idle Learn for V6.
