Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .

CAUTION:

Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Caution .

  1. Remove the electronic brake and traction control module (EBTCM) assembly. Refer to Electronic Brake and Traction Control Module with Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: EBCM Bolts

  2. Remove the electronic brake control module (EBCM) bolts (1).

    NOTE:

    Do not pry the components apart.

  3. Carefully separate the EBCM (1) from the hydraulic control unit (HCU).
  4. Clean the sealing surfaces of the EBCM and the HCU with denatured alcohol and allow to dry.
