Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2015 GMC Acadia, 2015 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2015 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
When removing connectors, inspect for damage or corrosion. Damage or corrosion in the following requires repair or replacement of the affected component/connector:
- Passenger Presence Module
- Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module
- Passenger Presence Module harness connector
- Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module wiring harness connector
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the Passenger Presence Module.
- Ignition OFF, test for less then 10 Ω between the ground circuit terminal 4 and ground.
- If greater then the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminal 3 and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- Reconnect all Passenger Presence Module components and perform the Passenger Presence System Programming and Setup .
- Clear all DTCs and operate the vehicle. DTC B0081 should not set.
- If DTC B0081 sets, replace the Passenger Presence Module.
