ECM Replacement

If the engine control module (ECM) is replaced, the following procedures must be performed:

NOTE:

Clear any DTCs that may have set after completing the programming procedure.

1. Enable ECM Reprogramming-Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) .
2. Perform the CKP Variation Learn-Refer to Crankshaft Position Reluctor Wheel Learn .
3. Perform a Theft Deterrent Module Programming and Setup-Refer to Theft Deterrent Module Programming and Setup .
4. Perform a Fuel Injector Flow Rate Programming - Refer to Fuel Injector Flow Rate Programming
5. Perform a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Service Regeneration Enable-Refer to Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Regeneration Enable .
6. If over 14k GVW, program the engine serial number with the scan tool.
