Replace and Program Control Module

To program a replacement control module, perform the following procedure:
- Replace the Power Steering Control Module. Refer to Control Module References .
- Access the Service Programming System (SPS) and follow the on-screen instructions.
- On the SPS Supported Controllers screen, select K34 Power Steering Control Module - Programming and follow the on-screen instructions.
- On the SPS Supported Controllers screen, select K34 Power Steering Control Module - Configuration and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF. It may take up to 2 minutes for all vehicle systems to power down.
- Ignition ON.
- On the SPS Supported Controllers screen, select K34 Power Steering Control Module - Setup and follow the on-screen instructions.
- At the end of programming, choose the "Clear All DTCs" function on the SPS screen.
- With a scan tool, perform the Steering Angle Sensor Centering and Software Endstop Learning procedure. Refer to Power Steering Control Module Calibration (NJ1) .
- With a scan tool, Clear all DTCs after completing the calibration procedure.
