Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Generator Replacement Components With Torque Specifications (1 Of 2)

  1. Install the generator (4) together with the lower generator bolt.
  2. Temporarily tighten generator bolt (6)
  3. Temporarily tighten generator bolt (5)
    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Generator Bolt (5) - Tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
  5. Generator Bolt (6) - Tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
  6. Battery Positive Cable (3) @B-Terminal - Install
  7. Nut (2) @ B-Terminal - Install 11 N.m (97 lb in)
  8. Electrical Connector (1) - Connect
  9. Make sure that the generator pulley does not rattle and that the pulley nut is tight.

  10. Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement - Install

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  11. Low-pressure Flexible Hose Bracket Bolt (1) - Install 4.4 N.m (39 lb in)
  12. Drive Belt Replacement - Install
  13. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection  - Connect
