Installation Procedure

Battery (1)» Install

NOTE: Only use a battery with the same part number and the same battery characteristics like nominal capacity and open circuit voltage.
Battery Hold Down Retainer (4)» Install
Install the battery hold down retainer nut (3) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
CAUTION: Fastener Caution
Install the battery vent tube (2) to the battery.
Connect the battery to fuse block cable (1).

Tighten the battery positive cable nut (2) to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).
Install the battery negative cable (1) along with the battery sensor (2) to the battery.

Tighten the battery negative cable nut (2) to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).
Fold the rear seat back cushion in original position.
Close the right rear door.
Rear Compartment Floor Panel Trim Replacement » Install
Close the rear compartment lid.
Insert the ignition key and turn the ignition to the ON position.
Program the volatile memory. Refer to Volatile Memory Programming .
