Removal Procedure

  1. Turn on the radio and record all of the customer radio station presets.
  2. Ensure that all lamps and accessories are turned off.
  3. Turn the ignition OFF and remove the ignition key.
  4. Open the rear compartment lid.
  5. Rear Compartment Floor Panel Trim» Remove
  6. Rear Compartment Floor Panel Trim Support» Remove
  7. Open the right rear door.
  8. Fold the rear seat back cushion forward to get a better access to the battery.
  9. Loosen the battery negative pole nut (2).

    WARNING: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning .
  10. Disconnect the wiring harness plug (1) from the battery sensor.
  11. Install a open-end spanner (1) to counterhold the battery sensor as shown in the graphic.

    NOTE: Use a counterholder to prevent damage at the battery sensor.
  12. Remove the battery negative cable nut (2).
  13. Remove the battery negative cable. (3)
  14. Remove the battery sensor (1).
