Installation Procedure

  1. Starter (2)» Install

  2. Starter Nut (1)» Install and tighten 58 N.m (43 lb ft).
    CAUTION: Fastener Caution
  3. Starter Bolt (3)» Install and tighten 58 N.m (43 lb ft).
  4. Starter Bracket (1)» Install

  5. Install the starter bracket bolt (3) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
  6. Install the starter bracket bolt (4) and tighten to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).
  7. Wiring Harness Retainer (2)» Install
  8. Starter Ground Cable (5)» Install

  9. Install the starter ground cable bolt (1) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
  10. Generator and Starter Cable (4)» Install
  11. Install the generator and starter cable start lead nut (3) and tighten to 12.5 N.m (111 lb in).
  12. Connect the starter wiring harness plug (2).
  13. Exhaust Front Pipe» Install - Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement
  14. Lower the vehicle.
  15. Battery Negative Cable» Connect - Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
