Installation Procedure

  1. To install the NEW fuel feed intermediate pipe (4) to the fuel injection fuel rail (1) and to the fuel pump (6), perform the following steps:

    CAUTION: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .
    1. Hand tighten the fuel feed intermediate pipe fitting (2) to the fuel injection fuel rail (1).
    2. Hand tighten the fuel feed intermediate pipe fitting (5) to the fuel pump (6).
    3. Tighten the fuel feed intermediate pipe fittings (2, 5) to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
  2. Install the fuel injection fuel feed pipe clip bolt (3) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the charge air cooler outlet air tube to the throttle body. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube Replacement 
  4. Intake Manifold Cover - Install Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
  5. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9)
  6. Pressurize the fuel system and inspect for leaks.
